Thankful For Dale’s Ministry

I am so sorry to hear of Dale’s passing. He was a beacon of light shining on the truth. Please continue this vital work.

“Fact Check” Podcasts Unpack Worldview

Thank you for all the work you are doing to expose error. Even though (as a former) I don’t now read the Sabbath School quarterly, your podcasts still help me to unpack everything.

Adventist Family Is a Daunting Task

I want to thank you for your ministry. It has helped me SO much. I live in a state where there aren’t many Adventists and even fewer formers. I have been out of Adventism for about 25 years but still have so many questions, and I still find myself reading with my EGW goggles at times without realizing it. I have really felt an urgency to help my family see the truth lately. It is scary because it certainly could cause a rift. But an eternal separation from then would be worse.

The majority of my family is Adventist. My sister has a degree in theology from an Adventist university. She preaches and teaches at her church. Her father-in-law was an Adventist minister and teacher at Adventist universities who wrote several books published by Adventist publishers, and her brother-in-law is a seminary professor. She is difficult for me to argue with off the cuff.

She has been pressuring me to defend my faith lately, but honestly I think she is questioning her own. Your podcasts have helped me immeasurably in gaining a better biblical understanding. Even this far out of Adventism I sometimes get the nagging feeling that I can’t really understand. You have helped me get past that, and I’m loving it.

I have been in a Bible believing church for a long time but really got involved in a stronger one two years ago. God had helped me SO much.He is always guiding me even when I don’t see it.

Response: You do have a very difficult assignment with your sister! I agree with you that she is likely questioning her own faith. The twisted definitions of Adventism obscure what they are really saying—and Adventists often have no idea that their worldview is simply false. They can say all the right words about salvation and faith and grace—but they don’t actually know the truth. They don’t know what the words really mean nor what the Bible really says. I’m so thankful the podcasts are helping.

The unspoken subtext is the true definition of Adventism. By the way, have you seen the video of the talks we did at the Michigan FAF conference in 2018? First, Richard and Carel Stevenson discuss Adventist vocabulary, and then I talk about how Adventism contradicts the Five Solas. You might find the whole thing to be helpful.
