Dale, I’m 38 years old. I live in Switzerland. I have something in common with you; I drive a big 40 tonne truck and have a small transport business. I grew up as an Adventist—a home church Adventist because, as my parents told us, the official Adventist Church was fallen Babylon.
Between the ages of 18 and 24 years, I did not really know what I wanted to believe. I visited an evangelical church with a friend several times and was excited at how much love and joy they had for Jesus and the gospel. I had never experienced that before.
When I was 25 I met my future wife who had grown up in an evangelical church. After some months or years together, I wanted to grow with her into Adventist beliefs again. I told her about Ellen White. She was not really warming to her books (thank God), but I wanted to explain the investigative judgment to her. She agreed, but she said I had to explain it just out of the Bible, please.
I agreed. I wanted to explain it out of the Bible, and I tried. Then I searched the internet for more information. As I searched, I came across your books and writings. I spent days reading your books. For about the last four years, I have been getting Proclamation! magazine. I’m always happy when there’s an article written by you.
My beliefs have changed a whole lot thanks to you! Thank you so much for all the energy you have put into your books and writings and videos! All of your videos that I found on Youtube I watched; some I nearly know by heart.
I have a hope and joy and freedom in my life like never before. I thank God I came across your writings!
I’m still learning not to have typical Adventist thinking. To go into a shop to buy something on Saturday still feels strange sometimes, but I haven’t kept Sabbath for 20 years.
I just read your article, “Do Not Nullify The Grace of God” in Proclamation! last week. Thank you; it was so good to read that.
So I thought I needed to led you know how much I appreciate your work.
