Podcast Such an Eye-opener

Hi Colleen and Nikki! I listen to your Former Adventist Podcast weekly without fail. I always gain something new and pertinent to my life. In a recent podcast I was particularly blessed by something Nikki said. She was speaking of family members that have not left the Adventist church. She said something along the lines of not being able to witness to them personally. I’m not sure of her reasons, but I can certainly understand the difficulty. She said she prays that God will send someone else to them who can help to open their eyes. 

This was such an eye opener to me! I always feel that I am responsible for those around me. If I have a truth I feel I must share and convince others. And, of course, once again PRAYER is the answer. Thank you, Nikki, not only for this insight but for the many hours, study, and prayer you devote to this podcast every week. I am amazingly blessed!

Response to “Adventism Misses New Covenant”

I have a family that has come into my life, a family that was groomed from their births into this Seventh-day Adventism. I never knew of such a “church” or religion until they came into my life. I am in total shock and disbelief at how they were brainwashed. It has two years since we met, and they are slowly realizing and coming to terms with the fact that there is life and a real God outside of that movement. 

Adventism needs to be exposed for what is. It is a cult. Google the word cult, and you will find that the definition is 100%  accurate as it pertains to Adventism. We need more folks like you to expose their fake ideology.

Footnote: this family that is in my life had a father who is a so-called “Pastor” in this movement. When I met them, they had no idea of Bible truth; basically, they had no idea of life!!!! They were weak in character and in life itself.

Colleen Tinker

Colleen Tinker, the editor of Proclamation! magazine, and her husband Richard left Adventism in 1998 with their two sons, Roy and Nathanael, who were in grades six and ten. They have co-led the Former Adventist Fellowship since 1999. Colleen, a graduate of Walla Walla University, is a former high school English teacher and also the former managing editor of Adventist Today magazine. Colleen became the stepmother of Roy and Nathanael in 1989, and in 2008 she adopted them. Romans 8:15-17 has assumed new depth and significance for her and Richard since she and her sons chose to claim each other legally and permanently.
