INCLUDING THE INVESTIGATIVE JUDGMENT
At first glance the Adventist teachings about Jesus’ high priestly ministry and the cleansing of the sanctuary seem unique, even heterodoxical, but their true nature is revealed when one compares their details with the specific words of Scripture. For example, where does the Bible say that the blood sprinkled before the mercy seat on the Day of Atonement in Israel “transferred” sins from the people to the sanctuary? Where is the Old Testament example for the Adventists’ teaching that Jesus’ blood transfers sin into heaven?
Because these details of Adventist doctrine are not well-understood by most Adventists, we are suggesting resources for further study on these topics. The details determine the true nature of the doctrines.
